Matte. You asked, I do! Last week when I talk to you about the choker I had bought, I showed you some pics where I was wearing this lipstick. You can see the post I'm talking about here. I asked you if you wanted my true opinion on this Sleek liquid lipstick and the response was positive.
"Birthday Suit" is a very beautiful pinky nude and I can say that complements almost all skin tones. As for the formula, the application is very smooth and easy because of the applicator. I am not going to lie and say it's a super comfortable lipstick to wear, because it is not, at least for me. If you don´t let it completely dry, it becomes sticky. If you don´t scrub your lips before applying this lipstick, it will stick to dry patches and it won´t look attractive. It is, indeed, long wearing, without retouching and eating and drinking, lasts a solid 6 hours on my lips.
Of the entire collection, 6 colors in total, this is the only one that I find myself wearing. The range of colors isn´t that good, this is the only nude, the other ones are reds, purples and roses.
In short, if they had more colors I eventually wear, I would buy another one, just because they are affordable and long wearing. Although if you scrub your lips and keep them hydrated, I assure you will not have problems with the formula.
Cozy. There's nothing I like more when I get dressed than comfort. Not that I will start walking around with sweatpants, but I love my sneakers and sweatshirts. Unfortunately, at least where I am, the days are starting to get colder and are calling for warmer sweaters. And of course, I took my sweatshirts out. In daily basis I like to wear them with black pants, sneakers and a nude makeup. Night wise I change for heels or flatforms and bold lips. So, nothing better than starting this week with an inspiration that will for sure that take part of my autumn wardrobe!
Personal. There is nothing more satisfying in life than achieving our goals, or at least have that feeling that we are on track. 3 months ago I began a journey that will be a long one, but it certainly is being rewarding, losing all the weight I gained over the past four years. When I went to university, I weighed 62 kilos and after 4 years I already weighed 78 kilos. As you can see, I gained a lot. This has led to a major insecurity issue and low self-esteem, I hated my body and everything I liked to wear fitted me the wrong way. Since three months ago, I decided to put an end to it and take control of my body, I decided I was going back to my 62 kilos. So far, I have lost 8 kilos and with no doubt feel more confident and, of course, clothes fit me better.
So take control of your life! If you find something that makes you uncomfortable, do not hesitate, do what you have to do to change it.
Dupe. Long time ago I was in love with the Lorac Pro Palette 1. Unfortunately it isn´t for sale in Portugal (insert sad face). Of course there were solutions but the price of shipping was unthinkable. Recently, I met a cosmetics brand, the Makeup Revolution, a British low cost cosmetic brand. As I was discovering the different products suddenly realized that some were quite similar to luxury brand products. But the one that caught my eye was this pallet, the Iconic Pro 1, similar to the Lorac Pro 1. Color wise, the resemblance is enormous. Quality wise I don´t believe it is the same, but I never tried the Lorac one, but the price difference is huge (although it sometimes doesn´t mean anything!). The Iconic Pro 1 is a more economical solution, it´s only about 8 Euros and the quality meets the price. The matte shadows are very pigmented but the remaining take some time to build them to the desired color. But it is a great palette. I highly recommend it and you can buy it here.
Bold. I never liked very thin and unnatural eyebrows. I've always been a huge supporter for the most natural brows that match the face shape. Mine are not at all my natural brows, but I was always careful to keep them as much natural as possible. If I didn´t treat them, they would look like an authentic black bush (I like them natural, but let's not exaggerate!). I love seeing strong eyebrows in a woman and I think that is something that I always will like, including on me. So, unless I change my mind, an eyebrow slightly treaded and well treated will always be trendy.
Lipstick: Sleek Matte Me in "Birthday Suit"
Gold. Let's start the week in a slightly different way. Today´s post should have been published on Friday, but due to technical problems I couldn´t published it on time. These things happen. Well, going back to today´s subject as I already told you, I am obsessed with chokers. Not those made of black plastic, I hate those, not wanting to offend anyone who love them, they just don´t suit me. The truth is that I couldn´t find a choker that would fit in full my style. Finally I found this one with an extraordinary price: 1 euro! I have been using it every single day and I don´t plan to take it of my neck anytime soon. For the feeling of the 90s, I love to combine it with a dark nude lipstick as I show you in here. This one is a recent purchase and is the Sleek Matte Me liquid lipstick in "Birthday Suit". If you want a detailed review of this product let me know in the comments!
Skin problems. I've never been that girl who worries too much about skin care. I was used to moisturize my skin with day or night cream and occasionally a more targeted cream for my acne. I had combination to oily skin. From a few months ago, problems have begun. Due to a combination of stress and medication I have to do every day, it caused a major change in my skin. The oily skin I once had was gone and it appeared to be dry and extremely sensitive. In a short time I had to learn to take care of it, but nothing too dramatic. Of course, it couldn´t be just this. From one day to another, I noticed some huge red spots, concentrated in my cheekbones, which simply would not go away for anything! But wait, this does not end here. The days passed and as much as I moisturized my face, it started to hurt really bad. Sick of this whole situation, I decided to seek medical help and so I made an appointment at a dermatologist. And thankfully I did, I discovered that I have a chronic skin disease with no cure (for now), rosacea.
It's not something I like to share, only my closest friens and boyfriend know about this but I was already thinking about sharing it with you, hoping to help those who are going through the same problem as me. Now, having rosacea is no shame. There is no reason to hide your face or feel the need to overload the skin with makeup that ultimately gets the situation even worse. I know it's hard, but only depends on us to get comfortable with our skin, no one is perfect.
If you want me to share the routine for my rosacea, tell me in the comments down below!
Little things. When I began to see this trend again in the streets I was ecstatic with joy. Reminds me of those black plastic necklaces that were used in the 90s and I loved them when I was little. And when I saw it was trendy again I could not resist and bought one (I will show it in a few days!!). What do you think of this trend? Can you adapt to your own style?
Black. Of course I had to buy another pair of black shoes. But the color is not the main focus of this post. I was dying to show you these beautiful shoes that I recently bought from Parfois for only 8 euros. Besides being the it shoes of this year, they are extremely comfortable for long walks and I can pair them with anything. No doubt they are the best shoes I bought recently.
Life saver. I have extremely dry, sensitive and very unattractive lips. There, I said it. There are a few products that I can put on my lips and lately I have had problems with every single lipstick I own. I am even afraid to try some new ones, unaware of what reaction my lips will have. There was no lip balm to save me, until this product from Vasenol: pure petroleum jelly. It can be used in lots of different ways, but I love to exfoliate and moisturize my lips with it. So, today I will teach you how to make a homemade lip scrub that does not harm the lips and still leaves them smooth. I advise you to have a little container like the one I show you on the second picture to store the lip scrub. I bought mine at Sephora for just 1 euro, but of course you can use what you have. Now all you need to do is take a teaspoon of petroleum jelly into the container, add a little bit of sugar and mix well. You can add the amount of sugar you want considering how “strong” you want the scrub to be. As I have sensitive lips I like to add just a coffee spoon and half of sugar. If you want the scrub to have a pleasant scent, add a drop of coconut oil.
Tell me if you tried it and liked it!
Monday. Another week is starting so it's time for another “This week mood”! I've been obsessed with flats shoes and sneakers for the last months. Must be of my age, I only feel like myself with my feet firmly on the ground! I swear to you that this kind of shoes are already part of my daily basis, and not for just casual looks. Try a more fancy outfit with a pair of sneakers and you'll see that you won´t regret it.
This Friday I will show you a pair of shoes that won my heart and are super trendy. (And don´t say anything to anyone, I bought them for about 8 euros!!!)

July. Another month ended so it´s time to show you what I´ve been loving.
1. It has been an inseparable partner for my relaxing/pamper nights. It has a pleasant scent for summer, nothing too strong just how I like it.
2. I have shown you this nail polish on the last post and it definitely won a place in my heart. The color is incredible, perfect for hot summer days.
3. At this point all I want for daily basis is a natural and quick makeup. So I´ve been loving this lip product that besides being moisturizing has a beautiful wash of color.
4. Oddly, my lips get even drier during summer and I have to reach more frequently for moisturizing and exfoliating products. What I do to have both in one single product is adding in a small bowl a bit of pure petroleum jelly and sugar. And that´s it, moisturized and exfoliated lips in one step.
5. This lipstick is already a favorite of mine for some time. A dark nude, long lasting and comfortable on the lips. And for just 2 euros. Need I say more?
6. As you know, since a few months ago my skin got extremely dry and sensitive and so I have to be extra careful. I used to take of my makeup with micellar water and then with a cleansing milk from Sephora and it worked well. But as I empted my cleanser I decided to try something new, so I bought this gel. It is suitable for sensitive skin and the best of it isn´t drying for my skin! I just have to say it was a right choice.
7. This eye pallet has already made an appearance here and continues to be one of the best I own. Versatile colors, ideal for simple makeup that lately I´ve been loving (#lazygirl). Despite being expensive, the quality is unbelievable. I highly recommend it!
Now tell me, what are your favorites beauty products?
